Penelope Panda and her sister, Mia, have a peculiar life. Their adventures lead Penelope to wonder what makes their family so different from others her age. After a failed class project to catch a leprechaun, Penelope learns to accept that her sister having a disability makes her a little peculiar.

Glass Child Syndrome is a non-diagnosed condition commonly found in children with high-needs family members. Individuals are often hyper-independent, as if they were made of glass.

This story is a metaphorical narrative of my own experience growing up with Glass Child Syndrome because of my sister with a disability. My hope is to show other "glass children" that they are not alone in their circumstances.
